R5 direct-drive wheelbase

The compact R5 wheelbase delivers 5.5 Nm of peak torque directly from the motor to the steering shaft, avoiding the belts or gears used in conventional consumer wheel systems. Its aviation-grade aluminum-alloy housing keeps the unit compact for desk installations while providing a rigid enclosure. A 15-bit encoder, 1000 Hz USB refresh rate and steering-angle range up to 2700 degrees support detailed position tracking and configuration for different vehicle types.

Four threaded mounting holes on the underside support permanent installation on a compatible wheel stand or cockpit. For users without a rig, the included table clamp provides a desk-mounting option. The rear interfaces cover power, data, display, pedals and wheel input, while the quick-release system allows the included steering wheel to be attached and removed without tools.

ES steering wheel

The included ES wheel uses an 11-inch round format that works across road cars, GT racing, rally and general driving simulation. Microfiber leather covers the grip area, while the frame, front plate and rotary dials use aluminum alloy. Twenty-two buttons and ten LED elements place car controls and telemetry feedback on the wheel, and the configurable lighting can be managed through MOZA Pit House.

SR-P Lite pedal set

The two-pedal SR-P Lite set includes throttle and brake pedals but no clutch. High-strength steel is used for the pedal structure and plates, while Hall sensors detect pedal movement without mechanical sensor contact. Pedal spacing and plate height are adjustable, and the software supports input calibration, curve adjustment and input reversal. An anti-slip pad is included for floor use, although fixed mounting remains preferable when higher brake force is used.

Software and force-feedback configuration

MOZA Pit House provides one control centre for wheelbase force feedback, steering angle, pedal curves, button mapping, device status and firmware updates. Profiles can be created for different racing categories instead of rebuilding the setup for every title. MOZA also lists its NexGen 4.0 force-feedback algorithm and an iRacing 360 Hz mode for supported configurations, alongside advanced tuning options for response, road detail and steering behaviour.

Official upgrade paths

The bundle can be expanded with the optional SR-P Lite Clutch Pedal and the optional SR-P Lite Brake Performance Kit for a firmer, more progressive brake feel. MOZA also offers the 280 mm ES Formula Wheel Mod and the ES 12-inch Wheel Mod for the included ES steering wheel. These upgrades are sold separately and are not included in the standard R5 Racing Bundle.
