The D-BOX Generation 5 (G5) 4250i Motion Haptic System combines high-precision motion and vibration in a four-actuator haptic system designed for immersive sim racing. D-BOX G5 actuators are FIA licensed and reproduce both chassis movement and detailed haptic effects such as road texture, kerbs and traction cues.
Four-actuator 3 DOF haptic system
The 4250i configuration uses four G5 haptic actuators to move the complete simulator in three degrees of freedom. Each actuator provides up to 38.1 mm (1.5 inch) of stroke and supports a maximum load of 114 kg. The system combines physical movement with a 0–100 Hz haptic frequency range, so separate tactile shakers are not required for D-BOX haptic effects.
Generation 5
G5 uses a compact architecture in which a four-actuator setup is managed through a single Haptic Bridge. Connection to the PC is via USB. The actuators support selectable 120 V or 230 V operation, making the system suitable for European 230 V installations.
D-BOX software and content
D-BOX HaptiSync Center is the Windows software suite used with D-BOX haptic systems. It includes the software components and drivers required for supported D-BOX experiences, including Adaptive Gaming functionality.
